A: Open toad shoes!  Griffin,  Age 4 We now have a new program for our members ages 5-12! (see further details below) Bright Stars Share Certificates A Share Certificate (CD) may be purchased for any child who is under the age of 18 with a minimum deposit of $250.00. The terms are 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 3 years, and the rate is based on the age of the child. For example, if the current rate is 4.00 % and you open a CD for your 8 year-old, his rate would be 4.08 %. A 12-year-old's rate would be 4.12 %, and so on.  Our Bright Stars (formerly known as Kid's Club) is available for all children between the ages of 5 and 12. It was established to encourage children to save. Your child/grandchild must be the primary owner of his/her own share account, and a deposit of at least $5.00 must be made quarterly.
